The fabric is black - has been lightened to show definition.
Design description: semi-fitted, split in the front, button closure(working) on bodice front, roll-back shoulders (shoulder seam is behind the shoulder, which makes for easy fitting), two-piece sleeves with row of decorative(not working) buttons, standup or lapel collar and 3 deep pleats at the back.
