This is an authentic style of later Ancient Rome called a "tunica"

• this off-the-shoulder toga in fresh white will suit any Roman
• the toga is knee length, has a split on each side and is trimmed with gold satin ribbon(trimmings will vary)
• the fabric is linen-like with a gentle stretch (no creases with minimal ironing)
• the drape of white satin is trimmed with gold satin ribbon; and the drape is detachable for easy care
• the toga is tied with a gold cord
• this costume is washable, trimmings are NOT cheap craft ribbons commonly used elsewhere, they are washable satin
• the costume is completed with a crown of gold leaves

Togas look really simple to make(to make them look decent that is) - there is a saying with dressmakers - if it looks simple to make, it is simply not.

Have you tried making a toga out of that commonly found easy to make toga pattern with 7 metres+ of fabric???  If you want to keep your husband entertained on the weekend, give him the fabric and get him to make himself a toga from that easy pattern......guaranteed to be side splitting...but at the end of the day he will look like he is in a nappy and will not wear it!!!!... and after-all the Romans did have servants in the very early Ancient times, but in the later Ancient times, tunicas were the fashion.
